Hey AI, it's Me! is operated by Scott Harlan, sole proprietor (Washington, USA). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact information. Your email address. We need it to deliver your score and to create and secure your account.
- Information you submit. The brand name, website address and keyphrases you ask us to score.
- Your results. The scores and reports we produce for you.
- Usage information. The pages you view and the actions you take on the site, tied to a random identifier or to your account.
- Device and network information. Your IP address and similar technical data. We use it to apply rate limits and prevent abuse. We do not keep your IP address in our account records. Our service providers may retain it in their logs for a short period.
- Payment information. If you buy a paid plan, our payment processor collects your payment details. We do not receive your full card number.
How we use it
We use personal information to provide the service you request, to send emails about your score and your account, to keep the service secure, and to understand and improve how the site is used. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our agreement with you and on our legitimate interests in running a secure and useful service.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Nevada residents may still email us a request not to sell their information. We currently send only emails about your score and your account. Before we send marketing email, we will ask for your consent.
We may access your account and results to provide support, investigate abuse and operate the service.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with service providers that process it on our behalf. Those providers fall into these categories: hosting and infrastructure, database, background processing, email delivery, abuse prevention, product analytics and payment processing. We will give you a current list on request. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a transfer of the business.
To produce a score, we send questions to third-party AI model providers. We build those questions from the brand name, website address and keyphrases you submit. They do not include your email address.
Cookies and tracking
We use first-party cookies only: one keeps you signed in, and one assigns your browser a random identifier for one year. We use that identifier to apply rate limits, prevent abuse and measure how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow other parties to collect personal information about your activity over time and across different websites when you use this site. Because we do not track you across third-party sites, the site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
How long we keep it
We keep account information and results while your account is open, and after that only as long as we need them for legal, tax and security purposes.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to review, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to send you a copy. Email scott@heyaiits.me from the address on your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Where we process information
We operate in the United States. Personal information is processed there.
Children
The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will also email account holders before it takes effect.
